Black Chef Hats

The most commonly used chef’s hats are white. However, the current market is showing trendy designer hats that come in different colors like black, grey, checkered, red, blue etc. Blacks and whites are starting to sell in the market compared to traditional whites.

Other patterns may include black with a checkered border or white with a black or checkered border. Red cooking hats are also popular in the current market. Colored hats are widely available in different types of fabric compared to the type of disposable paper. Hats made of cotton or a cotton blend can be dry and durable while being comfortable to wear at the same time.

Colorful chef hats are available with adjustable elastic or Velcro fasteners, and have a built-in sweatband. Polyester cooking hats are currently being made to look better than cotton ones. Also, polyester or polyester blend cooking hats are easier to maintain than traditional cotton cooking hats.

Although more and more chefs are using black hats, the head chef is still seen wearing a white hat. All other chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers have changed a lot when it comes to cooking hats. Black colored chef hats are also available in different styles such as baseball caps, short hats and so on, changing the trend of chefs wearing only tall hats.

Many chefs prefer black hats these days because the color tends to hide all the sweat and grease stains on the hat. Also, since it’s a polyester blend it tends to absorb more sweat than disposables. Since they are available in many colors, a deviation from the original style, many restaurants prefer their managers to switch to colored hats rather than the traditional white ones.

While a full black hat may look different from a white chef’s hat, white hats with a border or black trim make a different change to the occasion. They could not be different in style and only the color can be changed because of this special touch.
