Surrounded by a fascinating and exotic history, India is the second most populous country and the seventh largest country with over 1.2 billion people.
And then… it was sad time and a nice trip to Taj Mahal, Agra which is about 3.5 hours from Delhi. Inspiring me with his love story, the Taj Mahal or the Crown Palace spoke volumes with his passion. My journey through time began when I went through the influence and culture and historical sites. which passed by the Red Fort, Qutb Minar, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb and other sights of the city. Delhi took me on a culinary journey where I went on a long but exciting culinary journey with popular street food, Mughlai and Frontier cuisines.

I was looking forward to visiting Mumbai where I grew up playing cricket, eating famous street food, going to Golgappes, Misal Pav, Dahi Misal and Pav Bhaji. I went through a quintessential culinary journey, tasting the finer side of life with the traditional Shahi Mughal dishes, Biryani, and Butter Chicken as well as countless, spicy dishes in Mumbai.
Reminiscing about my youthful days, I took refuge in the Mumbai food scene and relished the delicious food. Tasting delicious Chaat delicacies like Vada Pav, Bhelpuri, Dahipuri, Panipuri, Sevpuri, Ragda Pattis, Kebabs, Mumbai’s famous Sandwiches along with other local favorites brought stomach delights that brought back unforgettable moments. My all time favorite dishes were Kulfi, ice golas and mouth watering sweet desserts.
After shopping for a couple of friends in the USA at Bombay Bazaar, I walked down Mumbai Marine Drive and watched the sunset cast a beautiful shadow over the Taj Palace. My notes of interesting and delicious Mumbai went on a vegetarian tour at Ram Naik Sadya House in Matunga which served South Indian Sadya or food, flavored with coconut and South Indian masala, the best food I have to taste made my mouth feel different. walking.
With ‘Khau’ meaning a good dish and ‘Galli’ or a small lane, Mumbai’s street food goes on an exciting journey with many food stalls displaying a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Khau Galli near Churchgate offered sweet life with sandwiches, Pav Bhaji, strawberry juice, sugarcane juice, milkshakes and other sugary treats. And what can I say about the understated but rich in spices Bade Miya behind the Taj Hotel which cooked up a storm with kebab and curry dishes that were a treat for a weary diner? This was pure joy that added to the full satisfaction.
Relaxed and refreshed by the laid-back atmosphere, I arrived in Goa when it beckoned with its beautiful beaches, Goan concerts, amazing cuisine, sun, sea and sand. Combined with the bohemian lifestyle and carefree attitude, I began to enjoy the culture, curries and cuisine of Goa. Loving fish curry and rice along with other seafood dishes, I delved into the Portuguese flavors which included Pork Vindaloo, Sorpotel, Calfreal and Beef Xacuti which brought the palate to a delicious climax. The Britos in Calangute on the beach were solid and satisfying, they provided a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of seafood.
