Writing a good query letter shows referees your ability to think clearly, use language effectively and advance your research in a seemingly difficult but elegant way.

Creating a good proposal increases your chances of a book editor asking you for a long proposal in the future. Keep calm. It may take several weeks before you respond.
Writers take their responsibilities seriously and are more focused on job inquiries than they are on the typical e-mails that most of us are used to on the Internet.
