Golgappas, Alu Chaat, Papri Chaat, Dahi Bhalla, Faluda and Panipuri are some of the matches available here. Each region has its own skills. While Calcutta is known for Phuchka and Jhaalmuri, Delhi is famous for Alu and Chana Chat. Most people usually have their favorite fast food places in their neighborhood that they go to almost every evening for a snack!
2. Dosa: Doso is something that one can find in almost every part of the world today but it is actually a healthy food of South India. Due to the easy availability of rice everywhere, one can find dosa makers in every region. Dosa is something that is easily prepared at roadside stalls. It is nutritious, filling and quick to eat, making it a popular street food.
3. Below: Now ‘pav’ is something that means many things in India. It can be used to mean a piece of bread, or it can mean a dish like Pav Bhaji or Vada Pav. All dishes use bread spread with lots of butter and are very popular dishes in the western part of the country. Bombay has its share of pav-aficionados as many go to sleep on the beach and eat their favorite street food there.
4. Scrolls: The word ‘roll’ may not be something that evokes much joy in people’s hearts, but it is the country’s favorite street food. There are different types of scrolls available here. A roll is basically meat or vegetables stuffed into a piece of Indian ‘Paratha’. Kolkata is where the scroll originated and has many amazing varieties to be found on its streets. There are Chicken Chowder, Egg Chowder, Tikka Chowder, Vegetable Chowder, Paneer Chowder, etc. Choose!
5. Indian Chinese: This is a street food that is not available in China. ”Indian Chinese” is a creation of Indians and we can say that it is delicious. You can find Chowmein, Chinese Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken on any street in the country which is NOTHING like authentic Chinese food!
