10 Mouth-Watering Street Foods in Mumbai
The people of Mumbai love food and life and this is evident when we cook food. From pani puris to kebabs, Mumbai is a city of millions of street vendors.
Below is a list of my favorite street food in Mumbai:-
Where is Puri?
If you love to have sweet and sour food, then Mumbai Pani puri is the best you can have. Here the vendors use a well-baked place that they fill with potatoes, peas and sprouts. After that it is poured into a liquid which includes foreign ingredients like Tamarind, Jaggery, Mint and spices.
It tastes so good that you have to eat it all at once.
Pav Bhaji
Pav Bhaji is a finger-licking food that you can easily find on the streets of Mumbai. Thick Vegetable Masala is served in soft rolls that smell and taste amazing. I love my Pav Bhaji served with extra butter and lemon juice.
Kebab Soup
Skewered Kebabs hanging in the smoker are a sight to behold. You can’t have it when you visit Mumbai. Beef searchh kebabs are a must have for any foodie.
Vada Pav
Vada Pav is the signature dish of Mumbai. It is a favorite dish of almost every Mumbaikar. It is basically a sweet potato mashed with spices, garlic and coriander. They are then dipped in chickpeas and fried golden.
This Vada is placed in the middle of Pav which is perfect. Vada Pav is best served with green chutney.
Bhel Puri
It is one of the famous street food in Mumbai which is sweet and sour and bitter in taste. It is a mixture of puffed rice, chopped onion and tomato, and tamarind chutney. It tastes amazing and should be eaten while walking on the beach to feel good.
Masala Kheema Pav
If you love grilled meat, then this is a must have when you visit Mumbai. It is super sweet and spicy.
Chicken Tikka Rolls
Chicken Tikka Rolls taste best when served warm. Many street vendors sell these rolls and you can’t touch them because they are so delicious.
Channa Bhatura
Channa Bhathura is amazing and delicious. One bowl of Channa Bhatura is enough for an individual. Have it with a delicious lassi.
Dosa
Dosa is a South Indian food, but it is also widely sold on the streets of Mumbai. It is available in different colors and is very tasty.
Kala Khata
Kala Khatta is a must on a hot summer day. Available in a variety of flavors, they are loved by children and adults alike.
